Living Up to a Building
Views to this topic can vary according to the typology of the building, the kind of activity to be performed and the amount of time to be spent in that particular space. The surroundings of a person surely create’s a big psychological impact on the person it can be good or bad.
Designing a residence, the creativity of an architect lies on how the spaces created can affect the mood of a person according to the type of activity to be performed. For instance, a children’s bedroom design is totally different from the master bedroom, the atmosphere to be created is different .Houses should be designed in such a way that the user’s are able to adapt to it easily in a comfortable manner.
Living up to a building can be experimented in such places where its not that necessary that people should feel comfortable and create the right kind of attitude and mood. Adapting to such places is not that important .For instance ,a memorial , museum etc,these are the type of spaces that doesn’t require a particular comfort level .The designer can go up to extreme levels to explore creative ideas to make something different which no one has seen.
