The Lake at Chetpet...or the absence of it

Nature forms an important part of any place , and that being the case, an element like a lake has a huge impact on people and thus, must be put to good use.
The lake at Chetpet can hardly be called a lake. There is too much of sea weed growth and a lot of water hyacinth, not to mention the dirt and litter.

it is shocking to know that this city has huge resources which are just not used.
Water hyacinth is a weed that depletes oxygen in the water, thus making survival of the marine life tough, adding to it is the embankment that is only an eyesore and lets not even mention the litter here...
It is not just ignorance but also the "dont-carish" attitude of the people which is fueling this.
It is high time we realize the fact that "ignorance is not bliss".
