The Ardhanarishwarar Temple

This is a picture of the Ardhanarishwarar temple and the area that surrounds it.
What was once a small idol placed by the road. is today a huge temple in the Nanganallur area of the city.
The most disturbing fact about this temple is that it is located right on the road and is probably encroaching into the road.
Its' presence has resulted in small stalls that extend to the already narrow and bustling main road that just cannot handle the traffic it is subjected to everyday.
A huge temple like this one offers no space for people to park their cars, as a result of which, one finds cars parked or double parked on the road itself.
This main road is a ddriver's ordeal in the office hours.
The prompt but inconvenient location of the temple only adds to the plight of people.
It is an automobile owners nightmare to drive around this area on a day of religious importance.

The lack of a sidewalk or a proper approach to the temple is inconvenient to pedestrians visiting the temple.
How important is it, to build a temple on every spot available?
Should every temple be expanded like this, to encroach onto the road, provide no parking, cause inconvenience to drivers, be unsafe for pedestrians?
what are we trying to achieve like this...religious supremacy?By making life difficult for people?
